General update from from Laois CC Secretary
On behalf of your club, can I wish everyone a happy new year.
Your club had a good year last year and this year we intend to have even more success.
Cricket leinster's annual draw was drawn today, unfortunately we had no winners from Laois. Your club was a big winner though, thanks to your generosity, we have received 1290 euros from the draw and yet again, we were one of the top clubs in Leinster for ticket sales.
I would like to thank William Blackley for all of his hard work organising ticket sales this year, we would not have sold nearly as many tickets without his hard work.

Cricket Leinster and your club are actively looking to recruit umpires. There is a course starting next week and there will be more to come. It is via Zoom. I did the course myself last year and it is interesting.
Even if you were only just interested in umpiring a few matches, it is worth doing, expenses are paid for each match as well.
The course fees are covered by your club so if anyone is interested please contact me and I will make the arrangements.
